This policy explains what 50percentoffsoftware.com (the "Store") stores on your device and which third-party services may set cookies when you use certain features.

1. No advertising or analytics cookies

The Store does not use advertising, tracking or audience-measurement cookies, and does not share your browsing with advertising networks. That is why we do not show a cookie consent banner: everything below is necessary for the features you choose to use.

2. What the Store stores on your device

The Store uses your browser's local storage (not cookies). This data stays on your device and is not used to track you:

  • softdeals-cart-v1 — the contents of your cart and any discount code applied, so that your cart is kept between visits.
  • softdeals-currency-v1 — the display currency you chose (USD or EUR).
  • softdeals-theme — your light or dark display preference.
  • sb-…-auth-token — your sign-in session, only if you sign in to your customer account. It is removed when you sign out.
  • lang (cookie) — the language you picked with the EN / FR switcher, so the site opens in that language on your next visits.

3. Third-party services

Some features rely on external services which may set their own cookies or read technical data when you use them:

  • PayPal — loaded on the checkout and order payment pages to process your payment (security, fraud prevention and payment session). See PayPal's cookie and privacy statements.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — loaded on the contact page to check that messages are not sent by bots.
  • Google Fonts — delivers the fonts used by the Store; your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. No cookie is set by the Store for this purpose.

4. Managing storage and cookies

You can delete the data stored by the Store at any time from your browser settings (site data / local storage), and block or delete third-party cookies. If you do, your cart will be emptied, your preferences reset and you will be signed out. Blocking PayPal's cookies may prevent you from paying.
