Terms and Conditions of Sale

These Terms and Conditions of Sale ("Terms") govern every order placed on 50percentoffsoftware.com (the "Store"). By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

1. Who we are

The Store is operated by 50percentoffsoftware.com LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Maryland on April 10, 2019 under number W19580117, whose registered office is at 5000 Thayer Center STE C, Oakland, MD 21550, United States ("we", "us").

Customer service: sales@50percentoffsoftware.com or the contact form on the Store. We aim to reply within 12 hours.

2. What we sell

We sell digital software license keys (product keys) for Microsoft and Adobe software, together with links to download the corresponding installers when available. No physical product is shipped.

Each product page describes the software, its version and the supported platform (Windows, Mac or both).
The software itself is licensed to you by its publisher (Microsoft, Adobe…) under the publisher's own end-user license terms, which you accept when you install or activate it.
It is your responsibility to check, before ordering, that the product matches your needs and that your device meets the publisher's system requirements. Some products are earlier versions that may no longer receive publisher updates or support.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) or, if you choose it with the currency selector, in euros (EUR). Euro prices are converted from the US dollar price at the rate applied by the Store at the time of your order.

The total shown on the checkout page, after any discount, is the amount you pay. Sales tax, where applicable, is determined in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland.

We may change our prices at any time; the price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.

4. Discount codes

A discount code (coupon) may be subject to a minimum order amount, a validity period and a limited number of uses. Only one code can be used per order. Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged.

5. Ordering

You can order with or without a customer account. To place an order you enter your name, email address and country, review your order, accept these Terms and confirm the payment.

Please check your email address carefully: your license keys are sent to it. The order is final once the payment has been confirmed by PayPal.

We may refuse or cancel an order in case of a pricing error, suspected fraud or a previous payment dispute; any amount already paid is then refunded in full.

6. Payment

Payment is made through PayPal, with a PayPal account or a debit or credit card processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card details. Your order is confirmed only once PayPal has confirmed that the payment was captured.

7. Delivery

As soon as your payment is confirmed, your license key(s) are delivered automatically by email and are available at any time in your customer area under "My licenses" (sign in with the email address used for the order).
If a product is temporarily out of stock, your order is marked as paid and the missing key(s) are delivered as soon as they are available. If we cannot deliver within 3 business days, you may ask for a full refund.
If you have not received your key within a few minutes, please check your spam folder and then contact us.

8. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Because license keys are digital content supplied immediately, you expressly request immediate delivery when you place your order and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the key has been delivered.

This does not affect our 30-day guarantee below or your legal rights if the product is defective.

9. 30-day guarantee

If a license key we supplied does not activate, contact us within 30 days of your purchase with your order number and a description (or screenshot) of the error message. After checking, we will provide a replacement key or a full refund.

The guarantee does not cover keys that were activated successfully, problems caused by an incompatible device or software version, or a product ordered by mistake.

10. Refunds

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method through PayPal, generally within 5 business days. The refunded key is then cancelled and must no longer be used.

11. Use of license keys

License keys are sold for use by you (or your organisation). You may not resell, publish or share them. We may cancel keys that are resold or obtained fraudulently.

12. Customer account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity on your account. You may update your details in "Profile" or ask us to close your account at any time.

13. Reviews

Only customers who bought a product can review it. Reviews are moderated before publication; we may refuse reviews that are abusive, off-topic or contain personal data.

14. Liability

We are responsible for supplying license keys that conform to the description of the product. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses (such as loss of data or business) or for the operation of the software itself, which is the responsibility of its publisher. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

15. Personal data

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

16. Complaints and governing law

For any question or complaint, please contact sales@50percentoffsoftware.com first; we will do our best to find a solution. These Terms are governed by the law of the State of Maryland, United States. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence and may bring a claim before its courts.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on the Store when you placed it.
